Nancy Pitkin, Composer and Trish Sullivan Vanni, Lyricist

Nancy Pitkin is a composer from the Raleigh, NC area. She is thrilled to be working with Trish Vanni and the Charis community.

These short chants were written for the annual retreat of the East Coast communities of the Ecumenical Catholic Communion. Music by Nancy Pitkin and Lyrics by Trish Sullivan Vanni.

Dale O’Brien, Composer

Dale O’Brien is an accomplish liturgical musician, recording artist and published composer, and currently is supporting Charis Community with his many gifts of leadership of prayer and song. Most recently he composed an original song, Roots and Wings, for the 2020 Synod of the Ecumenical Catholic Communion.

Dale has been singing and playing guitar since he was 10 years old. He traveled the country for 13 years playing at colleges, nightclubs, conventions, and churches and even opened concerts for major acts such as John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, and others. Dale served in two Catholic communities as Director of Liturgy and Music for 35 years until his retirement in 2015.

Over the years, Dale has composed numerous psalms, hymns, pop and contemporary folk songs as well as recorded four complete music collections.
