The Holy Season of LentJoin us as we Journey to Easter
Ash Wednesday Reflection from our Pastoral Director, Rev. Dr. Trish Sullivan Vanni
Ash Wednesday begins the holy season of Lent for Christians throughout the world. Here are Trish’s thoughts about how we might make this Lent not about deprivation but about being willing to be seen as loving and committed people — disciples of Jesus!
This Lent: Focusing on God’s Renewal!
This Lent we are journeying with a spiritual process called VOCARE. This past Sunday, we explored the question of values, and the challenges we face when we are asked to compromise or even betray our values. Click here for last Sunday’s Mass recording.

for a Deep Dive into the Book of Jonah
Starts Wednesday, March 1st. 6:30 CT. Please dial in on the Charis Mass Link
Jonah walks a Lenten path. Like all human beings, he is prone to wander from his Creator in favor of determining the shape and scope of his own future. This temptation is especially powerful when God calls us to take on risky ventures, travel to strange places, and confront things inside of us that prevent us from seeing one another as God does. God meets us in those liminal, Lent-like spaces when we find ourselves somewhere between trust and doubt, courage and fear, anger and empathy.
Join Rev. Trish for a Lenten Journey with Rev. Kate Bowler’s Reflections on “A Good Enough Lent”
This group will meet Monday nights at 6:30 CT on Zoom. This is not so much a content study as a journey of softening and opening ourselves spiritually. You will need to purchase the daily reflection book. Click here for more and to purchase your book. Financial help from Charis is available if you need it.
Lent is a 40-day stretch of both hope and the reality of the brokenness in the world. Sometimes things are incredibly awful, and we need each other as we hunt for hope and make our way through. Because we are in this together, this whole human thing. So what do you say? Do you want to commit to a “Good Enough” Lent?

Stations of the Cross with Brother Peter Veitch OSB
Tuesdays, 6 p.m. CT, 7 p.m. ET
From the earliest days following the death and resurrection of Jesus, tradition holds that Mary, his mother and other members of the community prayerfully walked along the Via Dolorosa, or Way of Sorrow, in Jerusalem, from the place of sentencing to his place of crucifixion.
During Lent this practice is repeated throughout the Christian world.
